This was painted en plein air during my solo road trip through Central Australia to Northern Territory for 3 months in 2024.

In the tranquillity of Kings Creek, I spotted this beauty. I was quietly sitting in a corner painting it and there were not many visitors. A couple walked past me and about 50 m down the track when the lady turned around and spotted me. ”There's a man painting there!", she gasped. "I'm well camouflaged!", I said, pointing to the flynet over my head.

This was the last work I did in Watarrka National Park/ Kings Canyon. It was sad leaving the place as I have had such a great time there.
