Harvest

Falconeris Marimón is a conceptual artist and life model whom I paint regularly.

In this instance, we had Falco posing as a farmer wearing a straw hat and holding a bundle of wheat. His form was rendered in warm and natural tones to give the skin a sense of living texture and softness.

The large straw hat framed  Falco’s face and upper body, casting subtle shadows that add depth and a quiet sense of calm. I love the lighting which created such wonderful combination of gold, lilac and baby teal colours on him. The wheat stalks introduced a symbolic and earthy element, evoking harvest, labour, and a connection to the land。
