Squeaky Beach, Wilson's Promontory

Wilson’s Promontory is a place I love visitng. In 2023, I painted this scenery at Squeaky Beach en plein air.

True to its name, it makes squeaky noise when you shuffle your feet on through the sand and every visitor does this as they arrive.

I love the orange coloured lichen that covers the surface of the boulders. The colours from the boulders and the sky shimmer upon the water of the little stream as it flows into the sea.
